Daniela and Ben Scandinavian Christmas Wedding at The Liberty House - December 17, 2011.

Daniela and Ben wanted a Scandinavian Christmas inspired wedding - RPL designed a gorgeous bouquet and tablescapes to bring their vision to life.

Daniela carried a bouquet of all white flowers including white ranunculus, white stephanotis, white stock, white hypericum berries, and the much sought after anemones with black centers.

Her bridesmaids carried bouquets of white ranunculus, white hypericum berries, white anemones with black centers, and variegated pittosporum.

The reception, held at the Liberty House, Jersey City had strings of white lights as if you were visiting the Scandinavian Christmas marketplace.

Beautiful tablescapes were created by first lining the tables with evergreens and pine. Then six arrangements were placed throughout the table incorporating silver mercury vases and candles.

A special placecard was decorated with Daniela’s stars, typical Scandinavian Christmas décor. The table was covered in burlap linen and a magnolia leaf garland.

The three chandeliers in the ballroom were draped with evergreens and white lights.

I loved Jaimie's bouquet - see below for all the glorious flowers I put in this unique bouquet.

A gold pedestal, mercury vase filled with Ocean Song andVendella roses, burgundy cymbidium orchids, purple dendrobium orchids, purplelisianthus, white astilbe, and white hydrangeas, accented with peacock feathersand a brass horn. In the center sits our main character, a gold bird with luxurious black feathers!

RPL also got to see a fabulous sneak peak preview at the St. James Theatre! Fun and entertaining, Jesse Mueller steals the show with her electrifying voice and Harry's version of "on a Clear Day"-just MAGIC!

RPL Kicks off 2012 at Bridgewaters - South Street Seaport New York

Oranges, tangerines, apples, cymbidium orchids, and tulips jump start this event

at Bridgewaters - South Street Seaport.

Phenomenal views with tall ships of the New York Harbor in the background and the Brooklyn Bridge right outside the window - what a fabulous venue to have a party!

Up on the rooftop to get a view of South Street Seaport below!

Cocktail was masquerade themed - gorgeous containers filled with lime green flowers, green tea roses and tangerine orange (Pantone's color pick of the year!) tulips and spray roses accented with gold masks with feathers and rhinestones.

Centerpieces were breakaways - the main center had succulents, hydrangeas, orange cymbidium orchids seeded eucalyptus and green olives.

Surrounding the center are vases of clementines, limes and orchids.

The third breakway was green kale. This is a great combo for this food industry corporate party and all the elements made unique centerpieces for any event.

Beach Weddings - RPL does the Jersey Shore – Part 1

Before 2012 starts rocking let’s take a look back at some of the amazing RPL weddings we designed in 2011. Since it’s literally freezing outside, we’d like to start with some warm weather beauties - beach weddings designed by RPL. We are very fortunate to have such a vast array of venues in NJ but some of our favorite venues are at the Jersey shore. Who needs destination weddings when we have some of the most beautiful beaches in the country right in our own backyard and what better place to have a wedding than the Jersey Shore!

For the next few days we’ll post a few weddings from different “beach” venues.
First up is Lorraine and Dave’s wedding at McLoone’s Pierhouse in Long Branch.

What a beautiful bride! Lorraine looks stunning.

Lorraine carried a bouquet of green cymbidium orchids, ivory roses and calla lilies, accented with loops of bear grass.

Lorraine and Dave’s ceremony was held right on the beach under a natural wood arbor draped with beachy colored chiffon. The chairs down the aisle were also wrapped with matching chiffon.

Hawaii - No guess again--JERSEY SHORE

Beach tablescapes were created using luscious green cymbidium orchids submerged in glass vases surrounded by nets, sea glass, and sea shells.

The sweetheart table was draped with netting and decorated with starfish and sea moss.

Brooke & Jonathan - the Molly Pitcher Inn, Red Bank

Brooke wanted an elegant, classic wedding overlooking the Navesink River so she made an excellent choice in the Molly Pitcher for her wedding.

Brooke, stunning in her wedding gown and carried a bouquet of vendella roses accented with stephanotis with crystals.

Her Bridesmaids wore gorgeous Navy blue knee length dresses so we made their bouquets with beautiful blue hydrangea accented with white roses.

The weather was iffy but the sun was out. Jon Arcara took these amazing romatic pictures of Brooke and Jonathan in Red Bank before the ceremony.

Just as the ceremony was about to begin, it started to drizzle.

Thinking it may pass, the ceremony continued but that the skies just opened up and it was time to make a run for it. These pictures are priceless.

The ceremony was continued inside and then guests went into the ballroom decorated with elegant white centerpieces of hydrangeas and roses.

At the end of the day, the couple were all smiles as a rainbow painted the sky just for them! Thank you to Jon Arcara Photography for the amazing pictures. Congratulations Brooke & Jonathan!

We were so honored when Jeanne Cretella, owner of our beloved Liberty House and Stone House asked us to create some designs for the 10th Anniversary Celebration of the Liberty House.

The party was outrageously amazing!! The food, the view, the Carlos Bakery cake from Buddy himself, to the acrobats serving champagne! An amazing evening finished with breathtaking fireworks display against that spectacular Manhattan skyline!

RPL created a mix of fun and unique arrangements for the cocktail tables and

2 stunning centerpieces for the entrance way.

Three tall cylinders filled with gel, lights, orchid blossoms are topped with green belles of Ireland and stunning phalaenopsis orchids greeted guests at arrival:
Extra details-fuchsia wire with wood loops cascade down the glass.

The second arrangement– a stunning ball of white garden roses with lime beaded loops sits on top of submerged calla lilies. Extra details-fuchsia wire loops with cymbidium orchid under glass.

3 different table designs for guests to enjoy:
Fuchia cubes filled with green hydrangea, orchids, fuchsia wire spirals and wood loops

Cylinders filled with clear gel and topped with Ravel hot pink roses, lime green loops all lit with led lights.

Rectangles filled with submerged calla lilies with hanging bubbles filled with Hot Princess roses and green cymbidium orchids.

We have been so busy at RPL over the summer designing beautiful weddings for our wonderful couples. We are really behind in posting what we have been up to so we will try to post some highlights over the next few weeks.

We first met Cristina in January of 2010. Cristina knew she wanted to incorporate all different shades of purple in the flowers. She also loves peonies so she carried a bouquet full of peonies, roses, stephanotis, and dendrobium orchids.

The bridesmaids all carried bouquets of every purple flower in season (ok almost every kind). Purple roses, dahlias, anemones, sweet pea, lisianthus, and ranunculous.

The ceremony took place at Immaculate Conception Church in Somerville, where purple flowers were hung in cones on the pews.

Their reception took place at the Stone House. We did a combination of tall and low style centerpieces with purple hydrangea, roses, lisianthus, dahlias and alstromeria. The place card table was also decorated with purple hydrangeas and a Manzanita branch accented with purple roses, dahlias, and orchids.

A Wedding Dog - Katie & Lon, The Liberty House Katie and Lon donate to one of their favorite causes in lieu of having favors. Our special couple, Katie and Lon wanted to donate to one of their favorite causes in lieu of having wedding favors. Katie asked if it would be possible to have a small dog at the placecard table where their would be a sign advising their guests of their donation. “A small dog, like the one that Preston Bailey has on his website”. Did we know what she meant? A small dog??? Like Preston Bailey??? Of course we knew exactly what she meant! We would LOVE to make a dog, of all flowers!!! (We would like to acknowledge our dear friend Preston for his inspiration)

Making a wedding dog—Sam as we call him! Congratulations to Jill for an exquisite design!

From pictures of dogs posted in front of her, Jill takes blocks of floral foam and carves the shape to perfection. Dowels are added to make the legs and inserted into the main body.

After all the foam is shaped, floral wire is placed over the foam to reinforce the whole design. 500 white carnations, yes fluffy white carnation create this beautiful dog. Fluffier football mum make his face and floppy ears. Green Kermit mums make his collar. Just look at Katie’s face as she sees the dog as she enters the room. We can’t tell you the happiness we have that Katie actually went to pet her dog!! LOVE IT!! Enjoy, much happiness and joy to Katie & Lon and to all the homeless animals they have helped with their wedding donation!

While the cool March winds blew outside, warmth and joy filled the Liberty House with the ceremony overlooking the magnificent Manhattan skyline. The sun was beginning to set casting golden light onto the ceremony set-up. Downstairs in the cocktail area, white lounge furniture with soft blue and green accents cozied up the room. Cubes of blue hydrangea with green ribbon and green hydrangea with blue ribbon filled the tables.

A special RPL creation at the placecard table greeted guests (more on that to come). After the romantic candlelit ceremony, the ballroom was transformed to a chic setting; centerpieces in all white placed on top of trumpet glass. Alternating centerpieces of white dendrobiums and white hydrangeas with calla lilies all light with candlelight.

The Liberty House, The Stone House, Snug Harbor and Valiant Yachts are all part of this unique group of venues. The Liberty House offers majestic views of NYC. With a few new renovations that have just been installed including expanded glass windows and skylights-this venue is a must see for prospective couples! RPL was just at the Liberty House on Saturday -pictures to come - and we look forward to our many upcoming weddings throughout the year including Jesse in July and Tiffany in November! Ashford Estate - Amazing new venue!

Ashford Estate is a stunning, gorgeous country estate in central New Jersey. Jill and I attended an open house last night at this impressive new venue hosted by American Bridal Association.

The long driveway brings you to mansion complete with a "barn" chapel, small pond with a gazebo and beautiful garden areas. Photo ops are everywhere - including the Roman columns (love that!)

This gorgeous placecard table from a wedding at The Palace in Somerset was featured in the Fifth Anniversary issue of LaBella Bride Luxury Magazine.

This oh so pretty fluffy white peacock under a manzanita with hanging pomander balls and crystals sat on a bed of fluffy carnations scattered with rhinestones.

Winter Baptism for a special little RPL client featured bleached Manzanita branches with hanging crystal and white dendrob blossoms in the branches, white hydrangeas at the base on top of gorgeous navy pintuck linens with silver sashes on the chairs. Low antique silver pedestals filled with hydrangea were alternated on the tables. Two Manzanita branches with hanging pomander balls greeted the guests and displayed the gift table. What a beautiful celebration!

Happy Valentine’s Day Weekend…
Who doesn’t love red roses and bling for Valentine’s Day? Our beautiful bride Kristen does! Her bouquet was full of gorgeous Fire and Ice Roses with lots of sparkly bling.
Kristen and Gerard were married last fall and there were red roses everywhere.

The bridesmaids all carried bouquets of Ruby Red roses with black feathers for a fun accent.

Kristen and Gerard had their reception at the beautiful Valley Regency. The centerpieces were a combination of tall and low styles. Both were full, of yes you guessed it, red roses. Charlotte red roses and black magic roses on top of clarinet vases and low pedestals full of red roses complemented the elegant ballroom all decked out in red with black accents.

And we can’t forget the cake; it was beautifully accented with black ribbon, a rhinestone brooch, and just a few red roses.

Congratulations to Kristen and Gerard, you were both so wonderful to work with. We wish you much happiness and of course a Happy Valentine’s Day!

With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, we have to share Kate and John’s wedding.

Red was the color and LOVE was the theme!

Their reception was at the National Constitution Center with great views of Philadelphia and lots of great photo opportunities.

History was made that gorgeous fall day!

Bouquets of freedom red roses with orange dahlias added a great fun pop of color against the apple red dresses.

The centerpieces were designed with red roses and vibrant orange dahlias. Inside the vases were suspended red roses. Arrangements were accented with strands of crystals.

Alternating tangerine and red linens really gave the room pazzazz-What a view of Independence Hall!

LOVE was the accent detail throughout the reception, including a mini replica of JFK Plaza, better know as LOVE Park, as the place card table.

Lakia and Jay at Brooklake Country Club.

If you are like us and had enough snow and can’t wait for the warmer weather here is a nice warm summer wedding to cheer you up! These beautiful, bright, summer pictures are from Lakia and Jay’s July wedding at Brooklake Country Club. Lakia and Jay are the sweetest, nicest couple and such a pleasure to work with.

Lakia carried a bouquet of white calla lilies and stephanotis with crystal accents. Their ceremony took place outside by the golf course. The arbor was draped with chiffon and hanging crystals, highlighted with arrangements of bright summer yellow lilies, roses, and ivory hydrangeas.

The bridesmaids all carried bouquets of roses in various shades of ivory and yellow, keeping with the warm summer feel. What a beautiful shot of our gorgeous bride Lakia and her lovely ladies.

Inside the ballroom the guest were welcomed with a yellow rose at their place setting. The tables were decorated with two different style centerpieces. The arrangements were full of hydrangeas, yellow lilies, beautiful yellow citronella roses, stock and dendrobium orchids making for a beautiful summer wedding!

Local couples who are facing hardship are now being given the opportunity to share their stories in hopes of winning their dream wedding. The first thing newly engaged couples should do (after celebrating with family and friends of course!) is to choose a time of year that would suit the two of you and your families. You should visit your church or synagogue to see if there are any times or requirements that may need to be met. Rose Petals and Lace is a mother - daughter team based in central New Jersey. Linda, owner and creative director and Jill, lead design artist started out over a decade ago on a fabulous journey to make RPL one of the premier floral design companies in New Jersey.

After an elegant ceremony indoors due to the weather, guests were greeted with a breathtaking place card table of submerged cymbidium orchids with floating candles, pink rose bouquets and a blow you away centerpiece of white dendrobium orchids on top of the elegant Anna vase.

The ballroom all dressed in white featured white dendrobium orchid centerpieces with cubes of white roses around- Gorgeous!

Carrie Underwood's Wedding

Carrie Underwood’s wedding was nothing short of very elegant yet girlie with pink roses, hanging ribbons and crystals from the ceiling, flower balls and sparkles. So many of the elements reminded us of RPL weddings we have done.

Carrie's ceremony was held under a birch tree arbor with a beautiful rose ball. Rose ball pomander's hung from Sheppards hooks lining the aisle.

Here is a birch tree (hand made by Jill of RPL) adorned with Anna roses for a ceremony by Rose Petals and Lace at the Palace in Somerset.

Containers of white hydrangeas were used as the base with an aisle runner of rose petals starting with white and changing to all pink.

Hanging pomander balls lined the aisle at Carrie's wedding as RPL did here using free standing sheppard's hook at a wedding at Park Savoy.

In the ballroom, Carrie had crystals and flowers with ribbons hanging from the ceiling.

Hanging satin ribbons with roses hung from the chandelier at this RPL wedding at the Liberty House.

Along the sides of the ceiling, RPL hung panels of pink crystals.

Carrie’s centerpieces were Manzanita branches with hanging crystals and flowers at the base.

RPL has done Manzanita with many looks including this one at the Bridgewater Manor with hanging flower balls and hanging crystals.

RPL would have suggested a few other bouquets – here are just a few recent bouquets for our brides!

Roses in vendella and Anna accented with gardenias.

Or this beauty, pink peonies, white peonies with pink cymbidium orchids and white dendrobium orchid chains- just gorgeous. (our bride Jessica at Season's).

We were so thrilled to be featured in New Jersey Bride Magazine newest issue for the wedding of Lindsey and Steve at The Liberty House last August. We were super thrilled that Molly Tully, editor for NJ Bride, interviewed David Tutera and has his picture on the front cover (fab idea!) Imagine how blown away we were when we met David in New York and he was gracious enough to sign our copy!

This summer has been fab for us! Besides meeting David for the first time, we had the opportunity to visit our friend Preston Bailey and run into Carlie Rooney again, and meet Marcy Blum, "Eventista"!

Lindsey & Steve's wedding at the Liberty House is in the currect issue of NJ Bride magazine! Lindsey is such a fun person and one of our nicest brides! RPL Went hot- hot pinks, tangerine and lime and it all came together -elegant, bright and HOT!

Lindsey is not just a horse lover but a skilled competitor and we used horseshoe accents at the sweetheart table and an over the top placecard table! Lindsey's bouquet contained roses, cymbidium orchids, calla lilies and Lady Slipper orchids. A gorgeous rhinestone band completely covered the stem wrap.

We were so thrilled to have worked with the sweetest bride ever-Niki. Niki and Chet wanted a weekend get away for all their guests and found the perfect getaway spot- Crystal Springs Resort. Looking for elegant yet rustic and natural decor, we used lots of curly willow on the arbor for the outdoor ceremony. And inside? well manzanita with fig dahlias and yellow cymbidium orchids of course...

Valentine Romance - The Palace at Somerset

Alyse wanted a romantic but not overly Valentine’s day wedding.

For her bouquet we used dramatic black baccara roses with black calla lilies with aspidistra leave wrapped with black ribbon. We kept the bridal partys’ bouquets in passionate deep reds, using black baccarat roses wrapped with black ribbon.

The ceremony area was set with 4 centerpieces on top of columns draped with chiffon. Red rose petals with cylinders with floating candles lined the aisle.

The placecard table had black baccara roses submerged in cylinders with floating candles.

A weekend in New York with Bailey and Blum

RPL had the pleasure of a "working weekend" in New York, seeing our friend Preston Bailey in his design studio. Here is Preston explaining a design element with Jill looking on.

We also ran into Carly Rooney from the Knot, RPL did a vendor appreciation party for the Knot New Jersey in 2007.

We also met Marcy Blum, celebrity event planner, as she shared some of wonderful experiences planning weddings and events such as planning Billy Joel's wedding. New friends, old friends, it was an outstanding time!

Knot over the top - Beautiful Real Simple Wedding!

Weddings can be simple and be elegant- this wedding took place in a tent at a private residence in New Jersey.

Gorgeous peonies, purple hydrangeas, roses, sweet peas and lisianthus filled wooden containers, mason jars and baby pitchers. Simple yet elegant, the look was perfect for an outdoor wedding. Unfortunetely, it poured the whole day but under the tent, with the warm candlelight and soft white lights, no one seemed to notice.

Liz came to us more than a year and a half ago - a beautiful fashionista with passion for color-she wanted vibrant pinks, bold purples mixed with lavendars. Her ceremony and reception were held at the Palace in Somerset-truly Palatial bathed in royal purple lighting.

The ceremony, held on a terrace at the Palace was stunning. A custom made aisle runner lined with white rose petals made a stunning setting for the ceremony. Purple hydrangea with ivy marked the ceremony chairs.

RPL Does it Again!!

We are thrilled to announce another RPL bride is blogged on another great wedding blog -WeddingChicks.com. A winter wedding RPL did in December at Season's Catering, Washington Township is featured on Weddingchicks.com/Realweddings!

Our bride Meredith carried a bouquet of white mini-calla lilies accented with stephanotis. Bridesmaids bouquets were all white roses wrapped with silver ribbon and criss crossed with frosty blue.

White birch branches with white flower balls created the simple but elegant ceremony area.

Beautiful Snowflake pattern on the cake and cake topper.

Gorgeous wintery centerpieces of white birch branches with white hydrangea, white calla lilies and dendrobium orchids with silvery dusty miller on trumpet vases filled the room. Silver chavari chairs add to frosty look.

New Year Inspiration

Inspiration blogs like RPL's favorite StyleMePretty.com and WeddingChicks.com feature inspiration boards:
pretty collages with beautiful color combos.

BUT what really inspires a bride? With Valentine's Day just 1 month away-the first thing that comes to mind is PASSION. Passion comes from within-not from a color chart.

Where do you find things that inspire you? Look around in everyday life; take cues from nature. A pristine snow fall with hanging icicles makes a magical winter wonderland for the winter bride. On cold days, a bouquet of bright tulips brightens the day telling us spring is around the corner. Other ideas -Visit museums, browse an art history book.

Nothing inspires like seeing all the beautiful art I studied up close and personal on a recent trip to Italy, there are no words to describe Florence, Capri, Roma - all are magnificent, romantic and captivating!

And then... we went to Venice. AAAHHHH Venice, just being there is the ultimate in romance. Weddings were at every turn, we saw 8 different brides as we walked through St. Mark's Square and down the canals.

Brides with bouquets, brides with their bridal party following close behind. All had such joyous, happy energy around them. What a treat!

So now I am truly inspired for the New Year! Where are those color charts?

Newly engaged brides often ask when they should visit their florist. Is it too soon for 2011? NO! Is it too late for 2010-well that depends. Good florists may book popular dates well in advance. Steps we encourage: Book your reception hall and ceremony location. Next select your dress and choose bridesmaids dresses or have a color scheme in mind. Then you have most of the details that can help with flower choices, bouquet types, ceremony decor and centerpieces. Clip and save pictures of floral decor & bouquets that you like. Have a budget in mind. Flowers can be 5 - 10% of your total wedding budget, more if you would like linens and other decor.

The French Quarter comes to the Palace

The French Quarter came to the Palace for a gala event to celebrate ground breaking on the new Princeton-Plainsboro hospital! (like "House") ok.. ok.. University Medical Center at Princeton in Plainsboro (for real!) .
We had a blast decorating with that fun and fabulous New Orleans theme-masks and feathers were in the centerpieces. The fireplaces in both the cocktail room and ballroom were decorated with beautiful masks, lanterns and gold chiffon.

Even the staircase was dressed for the occassion. Special thank you to the Ladies of the Auxiliary at University Medical Center at Princeton and Andrea from ACL Event Planning!

Samantha's bouquet was a soft mix of white hydrangea, ranunculous and white cymbidium orchids. Her bridesmaids beautiful bouquets reflected the vibrant colors of fall with dahlias mixed with black magic roses just popped against the black dresses.

Reception at the Southgate Manor-Centerpieces of orange mokara orchids mixed with curly willow branches wrapped with deep burgundy really popped in the new beautiful ballroom at Southgate Manor.

Pink Comb Salon

Once Again, Pink Comb Salon is holding their annual “Combs For A Cure.” The event will be held Sunday, October 11 from 12 - 4 at the Pink Comb Salon in Nutley, New Jersey. Pink Comb is working together with the Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation, Brides Against Breast Cancer and the Pink Envelope Project which all work together to fulfill dreams for metastatic breast cancer patients. We need your help!

Michelle LoConte, owner of Pink Comb and our favorite hair stylist will be “raffling off” donations made by many wedding vendors. They hope to get some press as well! Each donation will have a bowl next to it where attendants can “purchase” a ticket and try to “win” a price. All of the monies will go directly to the organization. Last year, they raised $1,287.00! Donations can be a gift certificate, a product, handmade jewelry, wedding related service, an arrangement of sorts, etc. etc. etc. any donation is graciously accepted! You do not need to be at the event in order to make the donation. They will take care of everything. They only ask that donations are made by October 4, 2009. Donations can be dropped off at the Salon in Nutley, NJ or they will be happy to come and pick them up.

Behind the scenes of Hitched or Ditched

Back in January while we were experiencing a blast of brutal cold weather and the whole nation was hypnotized by the plane landing in the Hudson….We were asked if we would be available to take part in a wedding for a tv reality show. The catch was it had to be done in 1 week-actually four days for us by the time we got involved. We were directed to put something together on the lines of Ashlee Simpson’s wedding, an Alice in Wonderland feeling. We also needed something that would not block the camera for the ceremony setting.

OK-off we went-Jill driving, Linda writing as we brainstormed about ideas all the way from the Liberty House directly to our floral wholesaler taking every last black bacarra rose they had. Yet we needed more and contacted our wholesaler in NY- in total 1000 black bacarra roses! We also used hundreds of mini-Schwartzwalder calla lilies, green hanging amarythus and charlotte red roses.

Next we gathered all our wrought iron candelabras and our largest chuppah. The idea- to suspend it from the ceiling-we wanted a large floating canopy covered with burgundy chiffon, the top full of flowers all the way across with hanging amarythus.

We draped yards and yards of burgundy chiffon on top of the canopy, the windows and down the aisle. We used black tea pots filled with rose, a birdcage with two of the cutest birds for the whimsical touch, tons of pillar candles, hanging crystals, red votives, black feathers and bouquet crystals. We designed a heart of roses for the sweetheart table, a bed of flowers for the dish for guests to sign.

The day of the to be wedding it was snowing-we arrived at the Liberty House - the view was so beautiful and with romantic snow still falling. We set-up all of the ceremony area and reception area. We loved the look we created!

We worked on this wedding the way we work on every wedding by putting our heart and soul into designing and creating the bride’s “dream wedding”. We're sorry about the way things turned out for Courtney and hope that one day we will create her dream wedding!

April 6, 2009 (Burbank, California) - The CW announced today that it will launch an original series for the summer: the reality relationship series Hitched or Ditched (formerly named "For Better or Worse") Hitched or Ditched is a one-hour reality show focusing on couples who are in long-term relationships but have not yet taken that big leap into marriage. Nominated by a friend who believes it's either time for the couple to tie to the knot or break up, each episode features a different couple who accept their friend's proposition to set a wedding date in one week's time. Spring Inspiration at Park Savoy

Inspiration boards are quite popular because they are very helpful in choosing colors for your wedding or special event. Sometimes, you only have to look around you for inspiration- spring is full of beautiful, natural choices. Peonies are peak right now-you will see them popping up all over New Jersey gardens very soon. Other welcome signs of spring are tulips, ranunculus, astilbee and flowering branches. Who can resist Dogwood branches in pink and white and flowering cherry branches?

We were honored to design the centerpieces for Melissa's (of Pampered Bride Weddings) Baby Shower. Her theme was the Wizard of Oz.. we had so much fun coming up with ideas! Thanks Melissa for letting us do this!!

Guests entered through an arch of yellow forsythia branches and gerbera daisies where they were invited to follow the yellow brick road...

Glinda the Good Witch came down in a bubble in the movie so we placed cymbidium orchids in the manzanita branches in glass bubbles, bubbles on the table, bubble glass holders for tulips on the table.

Passion for Peonies

Spring is finally here-and that means so are the beautiful peonies! If you love this lush flower, spring is the time to plan your wedding. So many times, brides getting married in the summer or fall come to us and would love to have this romantic flower but are disappointed to find they are not in season then. Yes you may get lucky and have peonies from New Zealand in late fall but they are expensive and still can not be guaranteed to arrive. If you have your heart set on fragrant lush peonies, plan your wedding for spring.

The amazing wedding of Nicole and Eric was featured in the new issue of New Jersey Bride magazine.

Nicole and Eric, members of a wine tasting club wanted a wedding based around their passion for wine. Nicole choose a vintage dress and deep burgundy calla lilies for her bouquet.

Held at Nanina's in the Park, centerpieces on wraught iron candleabras were adorned with clusters of grapes and cascading ivy. Romance and rustic winery feel were created by draped amaranthus along with hanging votives. Aubergine linens and seeded eucalyptus were placed at every setting.

We were honored to be selected to provide the decor for the Knot Vendor appreciation party held at the Pierhouse, Long Branch.

The theme was Mediterranean Elegance. Using blue and white to mimic the sea, columns draped with dendrobium orchid chains rose up from the table sheltering our sea goddess. White hydrangeas spilled out of large shells and accents of moss balls and sea glass added to the decor. Low centerpieces of blue hydrangeas in white urns and blue hydrangeas with sea grass and shell balls were placed on the cocktail tables that faced the ocean. A lounge area was created, blue and white lanterns hung by the window and fish in glass cylinders added more fun!
